Baby Names

I do not intend to be a mother ANY time soon! However… I do love thinking about what I would call my child/children depending on their gender. I have a lot of names in mind for boys, but for girls it’s not as easy. I don’t know whether this is because I’m a girl or not?

Anyway, at the moment my favourite boys names in no particular order would be:

“Lysander” - From a Midsummer’s Night Dream. I love Shakespeare and there are many names in his plays that I actually think would pass off as lovely names today.

“Oscar” - You’ll probably guess why, one of my favourite authors/playwrights of all time has to be Oscar Wilde. What an inspirational man.

“Alexander” - I know this is similar in a way to Lysander but I’ve always loved this name and would probably shorten it to “Xand” or “Xander”.

“Rory” - This name has grown on me over the past year or so and I think it’s quite a nice name for a boy.

OK… Now to suggest some girls names that I like too..

“Eloise” - I’ve always thought this name was pretty, and not very common!

“Viola” - Again this has  been inspired by Shakespeare (what a wonderful inspiration he is).
I’m not as enthusiastic about girls names so I’ll have to try and think of some more! =)
